Expectations / Roles

As an off-ice official, you will be in charge of ensuring the game sheet is correct by documenting all the game information, including the penalties and the goals for both teams. You will also be running the scoreclock so that all participants are aware of the game details.

Timekeepers are expected to report at the referee’s room 15 minutes ahead of the game’s scheduled start time.

Necessary Materials

Before each game, you will need to be sure you have multiple blue or black pens, a notepad, your cheat sheet and a stopwatch (a stopwatch on your phone works). Before you go to the game, be sure to check out the timing for the level you are timekeeping.
